 Network and Management Setup Syntens

 

Introduction

 

ImpactScan objectives are to assess, benchmark and implement innovation policies in use at the project partner regions in Europe. In order to do so, the Limburg region has set up the following Project Management Structure and a supporting Network structure. The Project management will supervise and where necessary execute the project deliverables. The network structure enables and supports the necessary data collection, analysis and implementation.

 

Project Management

 

The Syntens regional project Management team will be staffed as follows:

 

Regional Project Manager:          Mr. Pieter Hovens

Advisor 1                                   Mr. Winus Koolen

Advisor 2                                   Mr. Murk Peutz

Advisor 3                                   Mr. Ad van Ginneken

Support                                     Ms. Mirjam Simons

 

The regional Steering group will be staffed as follows (preliminary):

 

Mr. Murk Peutz, director of Syntens Zuid

Mr. Marcel-Armand van Nieuwpoort, policy advisor of the provincial government Limburg

Mr. Henk Burks, executive of the provincial development Fund

Mr. Jan Lamkin, entrepreneur and senior member of the Limburg Employers Confederation (LWV)

 

To the trans regional Project team Mr. Pieter Hovens will be added. To the Trans Regional Steering committee Mr. Murk Peutz will be added.

 

Network Set-Up

 

For data collection, advice and hypothesis testing a number of (regional) networks of public administration and business is used. The regional steering committee is ideally placed to access and use these network. Each of the separate networks can be accessed by at least one member of the steering committee.

These networks are tapping into: the ministry of economic affairs, Syntens, L6, provinces and government linked banks (L6: group of employer representatives and Chambers of Commerce, SIP: co-operation of innovation executive bodies in Limburg, TTR ZON: Steering committee for economic development of the South Eastern Netherlands)

 

 

Definition of responsibilities and tasks

 

Regional Steering Committee

 

·          Supervising the functioning of the Regional Management Unit

·          Delivering Input for the topics and issues of the project

·          Exchange of best practises learned in the project

·          Preparing the implementation roadmap of the findings

 

Regional Management Unit

 

·          Planning and control of Work package elaboration

·          Managing tasks and activities relating to Work Packages
